On February 26, Ge Honglin, the Party Secretary and President of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, made a visit to the headquarter of the group for an inspection. The Group Chairman, Chen Xuehua, warmly welcomed him.
Following the reports he received, Ge Honglin expressed his approval of the developmental achievements that Huayou has accomplished in its global operations. The Nonferrous Association, acting as a bridge and bond between the government and enterprises, is dedicated to providing its "three services" role effectively to support the government, the industry, and enterprises. It will persist in backing Huayou's high-quality development within the nonferrous metals sector. He hopes that Huayou will steadfastly grasp the significant opportunities offered by the nation's advancement of new industrialization, adhere to the direction of high-end, intelligent, and green development, better fulfill its leading role in the industry, increase investments in science and technology, enhance the reserve of the nation's key mineral resources, establish a "resource recycling, reverse manufacturing" model, and continually pioneer new areas and tracks for development, thereby forging new drivers and advantages for growth. He looks forward to deepening the cooperation between both sides, utilizing their respective strengths to contribute more significantly to the high-quality development of the new energy lithium battery industry.
Chairman Chen expressed his welcome for Ge Honglin and his delegation's visit, showing gratitude for the Nonferrous Association's long-standing care and support towards Huayou. Chairman Chen stated that, following the "13th Five-Year Plan," Huayou has stayed on the path of transformation, focusing on "controlling resources upstream, developing the markets downstream, enhancing the capability from within," and has amplified its "going out" development strategy. Through years of untiring efforts, it has launched a global industrial layout in over a dozen countries and regions, including Africa, Indonesia, South Korea, and Europe, establishing an operational pattern with resources overseas, manufacturing in China, and markets across the globe. Going forward, Huayou will continue its endeavors in sustainable development, technological innovation, and open cooperation, hoping for further guidance from the Nonferrous Association in areas like industrial development direction and organization of scientific research projects, to assist Huayou's high-quality development.
Before the discussion session, Ge Honglin also toured the Huayou exhibition hall, gaining a detailed understanding of the company's corporate culture, history of global development, industrial layout, project construction, development planning, and the operational performance in recent years.
Fan Shunke, the Deputy Party Secretary of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, along with the heads of related departments of the Association, joined the research visit; Chen Hongliang, the Group President, Wang Jun, the Senior Vice President, among others, were present for discussions.
